Imperative Audio is a British design, manufacturing and distribution company that specialises in innovative products for audio creatives. Working closely with vocalists, voiceover artists and audio professionals allows us to understand their demands and audio expectations while helping to improve workflows in the studio and live.
We launched in 2021 with the acclaimed PVB or Portable Vocal Booth which has received many rave reviews from our customers and the Pro Audio press. This was followed by the introduction of the IA Lucent Condenser Mic and IA FETPre inline mic pre.

Singer, songwriter and Little Mix band member, Perrie Edwards has joined the growing list of accomplished artists choosing in the Imperative Audio Portable Vocal Booth for their studio.
Tielyard X are now using the PVB in control rooms within the complex to give producers and artists a more intimate environment. Ella Eyre and Toddla T are just 2 of the artists that have already used the IA Portable Vocal Booth.
VO artists and the Voiceover Network‘s founder Rachael Naylor loves her new booth saying “It’s amazing, absolutely amazing. I’m so pleased with the sound and well it works.”
Producer Mike Rose was one of the first adopters of the IA Portable Vocal Booth and Mica Paris was the first to use it. “It is important that the mic will sound the best it possibly can…. and the PVB gives me that.”
